26 August, 2013 WOODCUTTING!!

So this week was a good one. We are baptizing 2 boys. Brian and Alex. There dad finally let them be baptized after 2 years!

This man also gave me these really nice Chelsea Soccer Club warmups. He also gave me a watch. The watch turns different colors and has like a strobe light setting. Its pretty DOPE.

So on Saturday we were informed that for a service project we would pick corn in the stake garden here. So we showed up in jeans and tennis shoes and my nice polo. Elder Vincent had my Chelsea warm up pants on. So in short we were dressed nice. We then got the invitation to go cut firewood for the Mesa Branch instead of gather corn. So upon the consent of the zone leaders we went. Man they drove us like 1 hour up in the mountains. We then cut and hauled wood for like 5 hours. One man cut down a tree that had hornets in it. I was stacking wood in the back of the truck and was laughing at everybody getting stung. But God has a sense of humor and the hornets came and I got stung on the ear. It was pretty funny after it was all said and done.

Today we dropped off Bustamante. Oh man, I am going to miss that guy. He was so awesome. He had such a huge influence on me. If it was not for him I am really not sure what kind of missionary I would be. I am going to miss that guy. I almost cried.

Well and for the rest of this week, you know, my companion and I were just saving souls. Ya know just the usually.

19 August, 2013 Antonio Cries at his Baptism and A Blessing Given At Hospital

I live in a memebers home. My old apartment was kinda nice. i insisted on it being cleaned. My area is ammon idaho, ucon idaho and Iona idaho. 2 days in a row i biked, but that sucked. My rearend hurt so bad. i cant imagine those bikers. But i drive more. 

Oh man this week was pretty awesome. We baptized a man named Antonio. He was fun and was so excited to be baptized. After the confermation he cried and cried.

So at 630 every morning I have been doing a program called CrossFit. Man today was hard. I felt like I needed to throwup after. But i will finish and be fit so i guess it is worth it.

We had a priesthood meeting and we sang. It was ok i guess. I dont really like singing so oh well. It was cool though.

This week my friend Elder Bustamante goes home. We had a 2 day exchange and I was awesome. He gave me his posterity tie. He kept it for 2 years and gave it to me. It was from his trainer.

Yesterday this 50 year old women came up to me after church and said something. Elder Bustamante just laughed. I had no idea what she said. Elder Bustamante told me after that she said at the end of my mission she wants to dance this really feisty dance with me. It scared me greatly.

Yesterday this man invited us over at 430 to eat carne asada. He just kept on loading our plates with steaks. I was stuffed. The worst thing was I had to eat dinner after that at 5. Oh man the average wieght gained on this mission is like 30 for boys and 40 for girls. I am proud to say I still wieght like 158.4.

Well, I really dont know what to say more. I always have so much to say and forget to say it.

Oh yea, yesterday we had to rush over to the hospital and give this boy who had meningitis a blessing. He was in so much pain the whole time. When we gave him the blessing he fell asleep. God works in mysterious ways.

12 August, 2013 - Antonio's Baptism!!!

Oh man so this week has been crazy.

So the first thing is the soccer tournament. I bought some cleats that were a size to big for me at the DI. They were 3 bucks. So we entered the tournament and out of 8 teams we came in 4th. But the reason for that is my companion and and Bustamante and Petitt were not there for the first game. But the second game we won 6 to 0. Yea thats right. I had like 3 assists and I was on defence. The second game I scored againsed this really tough team and we lolst that game cause our own teammate headed the ball into our own goal. we would have taken third if it was not for that. But yea. Im so ready for Argentina Soccer.

Elder Vincent HATES wrestling so we dont do that. But we have a baptsim with a Chilean man that has had 2 strokes and i cant understand a thing he says. His baptism is on this saturday. Then we have some dates with these 2 girls. But we really need to talk about the law of Chastity because they showed up to church hardly wearng anything. But other then that we are working with these 2 boys as well.

5 August, 2013 New Companion!!!

So this week a Elder in my District got sent home so I got moved with another Elder. His name is Elder Vincent. He is from Indiana and he is pretty cool.

Oh man. I am so sad to get moved form Elder Bustamante and Elder Petitt. They are so cool and I love them so much. I will always consider them my first trainers.

The area that I cover is huge. We get to drive a Subaru Impreza and it comes equipped with sports mode so it is so fun. Besides that this week has been pretty slow. We had 20 lessons this week with 3 baptismal dates. We had 6 less actives come to church with 5 investigators. I feel like i should be writing more but this week has not really been exciting. I live with members and I caught a snake.

29 July, 2013 Bit by a Pitbull!!!

So I have some CRAZY news. As of right now I have been bit 5 times by dogs. 4 by Chihuahuas and once by a Pitbull. Everybody here has Pitbulls. Luckily i slapped its head away before it completely clamped down on my leg. But other then that it has been going good. We have had alot of success but Satan is fighting back hard, it is easy to see. I speak Spanish and English.

As far as highlights of this week- I dont think their were any. Just alot of walking and since my Companion is a District Leader, we have had to go around resolving issues with other missionaries. We taught 20 lessons this week and lost all investigator. It is funny that when things are going well for people they forget God.

We had an awesome fireside for the spanish branch yesterday. More people showed up to that then for church. 

We also had a lady hide from us behind her counter. And when we did return, she hide again.

I have been called an @$$hole and have had the door slammed in my face. I have been told to get the F off someones lawn and have been told that I dont belong in that part of town. But ya know what, I LOVE it. I get to share the restored gospel and how it can bless lives. It is awesome.\
